ALWAYS HUNGRY: The Giving Café

I am beyond happy that I have found a new haven nearby for a coffee enthusiast like me! If you haven’t visited it yet, then you are surely missing out something so good.

The Giving Café, also known as TGC: A Social Enterprise, is a newly-opened café along Sheridan Street, Mandaluyong.

I am surprised and impressed to know that this café is giving back to the community, thus, making a huge impact to the coffee industry. TGC is a social enterprise, where a portion of the proceeds from select dishes or line of coffee support the Foundation for Sustainable Coffee Excellence which aims to helping the coffee farmers in La Trinidad, Benguet.

Don’t you love the idea that you as a customer gives back to the community while enjoying the cup of your coffee? Thanks to TGC being the instrument as we help in our own little way.

What makes TGC complete? The charming interiors, reading nook which serves as a mini library that will awaken the bookworm in you, the board games that you can play with your friends, lots of beautifully designed seating areas, furniture that defines the business’ ideals, relaxing music, homey vibe that make you stay for hours.

Needless to say the food and drink they offer are top notch, just yummy!

I ordered my flat white coffee (P95.00), french fries barbecue flavor with TGC dipping sauce (P130.00), and cheese sticks mozzarella and cheddar (P155.00).

It was my first visit and definitely won’t be my last. And of course shoutout to the baristas, servers and the owner for the excellent customer service. They all have a friendly attitude and approached me with full smiles.

Giving more than you take while making great coffee eminence well with me. If coffee is served good, how the profits are used is equally important and TGC carries it, hats off!
